| The following
are some of my favorite web sites and an explanation of why I like
them and how they could be helpful to you.
Web
Monkey is a a fabulous reference site. It has everything a web
designer would need including an HTML cheatsheet, websafe color
charts, special characters HTML code, style sheet guide, javascript
library, and more. It even has tutorials for different skill levels
of designers. This is a good site to book mark.
Killer

video tutorials on web design and even one on how to get started
in Dreamweaver. It also has links to helpful sites such as a spam

is a web template shop with a huge assortment of templates that
are interactive flash sites.
Codecs

You have to bear in mind that this information is coming from Microsoft
and will be slanted towards Media Player. However to be fair, putting
your video in a Windows Media format is a safe bet because most
of your audience will be able to view your video. It also explains
processing video in Producer which is a the best way to present
educational offline content.
W3C
Markup Validator will check your web pages for levels of accessibility
which is very important when you are designing for educational mediums.
You put in the web address and it will let you know how your page
rates according to the World Wide Web Consortium.
The W3C
is the official web accessibility standard regulator and is also
a helpful site to visit if you are trying to understand how the
accessibility standards work and how you can keep your sites compliant.
It goes into detail about the different levels of compliance and
how you can design to accomplish these goals.
Validate
the HTML Code at Net Mechanic. This link is to the free try
it site. You can type in the web adress to your site to check for
code errors. This is very helpful when you are designing any type
of web site.
