screen capture from Assignment # 2 of PrimoPDF.
I downloaded the freeware, PrimoPDF, on my computer. For this second assignment for my Advanced Computer Applications class, I developed a step-by-step tutorial using screen shots demonstrating how the user should download and use PrimoPDF.

This project was completed in my last semester at Collin County Community College. I created the music using a MIDI device in a Mac program called Digital Performer. I recorded the voice-overs using a Sure 58 microphone and added the necessary effects to give it a clean sound. The project was completed using Pro Tools.

This project was shot using a Canon XL1 video camera and Steinhauser wireless mikes. It was produced using Adobe Premiere Pro, Aftereffects, and Audion. The video was shot on location at the Gainesville equine center and nearby breeding ranches. A complete video was made for presentation at recruiting fairs across the state. A shortened version was placed in a user friendly CD interface that was created for the purpose of sending it out to potential students interested in the equine program,

Lorri Hill This month I have been working with Macromedia Captivate. This program is a great tool to build interactive web and offline content. I discovered how to create online quizzes that reinforce repetitious learning. It can be used to make online tutorials and linked menus to graphics, PowerPoints, and other web pages. This program is defiantly worth working with and further exploring it's many possibilities.

This online hybrid speech project was a collaboration with the speech instructor at North Central Texas College. Eight video lectures were shot in a small studio using a Canon XL1 video camera mounted on a bogan tripod, Steinhauser wireless mikes, and a Victor Smith lighting system. The lectures were produced using Adobe Premiere Pro and output using Microsoft Producer for PowerPoint. Twelve sample student speeches were also shot and mounted in web pages using an embedded media player. The eight video lectures and student speeches were mounted on 4 CD's and integrated into a user friendly interface and will be distributed as offline content for her students.

This web site was built for the art appreciation instructor who expressed the desire to be able to provide enlarged details of the various Medieval, Renaissance, and modern art paintings they were studying. We decided a disjointed rollover site would be the most imaginative way to accomplish her educational goals for her students. The rollovers were created in Macromedia Fireworks and output with Macromedia Dreamweaver. The class was taught during the summer and the site was mounted in Blackboard so her students could view the works in the classroom as well as at home.

Developed a Training Course for faculty for the Tandberg Multi-Point Teleconferencing Rooms located on each campus. I built a Menu Builder project in Macromedia Captivate to reinforce the material taught in the training course.

Sure %8 Microphone This hybrid online Spanish lab was recorded using a Pro Series Audio-Technica Pro-R1 wireless microphone system and Cool Edit 2000. An RLO was developed to mount the completed audio into the web pages. We experimented with voice alterations in Cool Edit to simulate conversations between two people. The purpose of the lab was to have readily available audio reinforcement for the material taught in class. Because the sound files were output in MP3 format, the entire lab was mounted in Blackboard enabling the students to access the material from home as well as the Spanish lab on campus.
